Gala night in the ancient theatre, 66th Taormina Film Fest

The 66th Taormina Film Fest took place in Sicily July 11-19, 2020. The feature film Il Re Muore (The King Dies) directed by Laura Angiulli, founder and company director of Galleria Toledo, was selected for the “Feature Competition” of the festival. Inspired by William Shakespeare’s history play Richard IIIl Re Muore was screened before a live audience on site as well as online. Angiulli and several of the actors from the film attended the festival in person.

Laura Angiulli and Teatro Stabile d’Innovazione Galleria Toledo have generously agreed to share an English subtitled video of their feature film with the MIT Global Shakespeares Video and Performance Archive.
