The Tempest was performed in Seoul, South Korea September 4-6, 2009 as part of the 3rd annual World Festival of National Theaters, which ran from September 4 to November 4, 2009.

    I think this adaptation is bad in many respects. It attempts to make itself more like Peking opera via using acrobatics, traditional music and dance, but they all seem weird. Moreover, the rigid faithfulness to the original Shakespeare also makes it boring, especially compared with Lear is Here and The Kingdom of Desire.
