This performance was part of the project Shakespeare in the Park – Curitiba, and the stage was constructed inside a barn. It was a re-reading of the Elizabethan stage. There were pools of water and trap-doors which the “fairies” used to appear and disappear, creating a magical atmosphere.
The music was very interesting: it was circus music composed for a film by Nino Rota.
The performance starts with the scene with the artisans because the director wanted to highlight the comic aspect of the play, and he put this scene first to set the tone.
