Hi, I was delighted to come across this website as I am presenting a paper on Kamdev ka Apna. However I am unable to watch these clips, despite having updated plug-ins on my computer. Alternative possibilities that you might be able to suggest for me to watch most welcome, Thank you, Sudha Shastri

Thanks for your comment. May I suggest you use Firefox or Safari with QuickTime plugin? I just tested it again and this page with the video does work. Another possibility may be that your Internet Service Provider or your particularly country and location have blocked your ability to watch this video. Censorship is always an issue.

Hi, thanks – I just saw your response, thank you. I downloaded Quicktime on my pc, but I find that after trying to connect to the clips, the link gets disconnected after a few minutes. No, neither IIT Bombay from where I am accessing this, nor my country (India) has censored access.

I am a researcher from New Delhi, India and needed to watch this urgently.
    Same issues as Sudha Shastri.
Since these are open access by default, kindly arrange to share these video clips either on youtube or in formats compatible with media players other than the Quicktime player, which can be listed oon this page as “alternate links” (humble suggestion).
the delay in “Connecting” and “transferring data” and “negotiating” which took whole day, is frustrating and deeply saddening. Couldn’t access the clips at all. Using latest version of Firefox with the latest version of Quicktime Plugin, internet connection with 65mbps speed and excellent signal strength.

Apologies for the difficulties you are experiencing in accessing the QuickTime streaming videos. We are planning to replace all QuickTime videos in the near future. We thank you for your suggestions and patience as we work on improving the archive.

PS QuickTime X for Mac does not playback streaming video very well. People have reported that installing QuickTime 7 seems to help. See for details.

  4. Anna Horatschek says:

I would love to include Tanvir´s drama in a Literature Course in Germany, but: Where do I find the English translation of the play?

    • Belinda Yung says:

Hi Anna, an English translation of the play is not available as far as we are aware.
